Xbox is partnering with the Xenia Canary emulator team to develop a Classics Program that will bring original Xbox and Xbox 360 games to modern consoles, PC, and Game Pass—complete with enhancements.

Xbox is reportedly collaborating with the Xenia Canary emulator team on a new Classics Program aimed at bringing original Xbox and Xbox 360 titles to modern platforms, including PC, Xbox Game Pass, and xCloud—with upgraded visuals and performance enhancements.

The news comes from well-known Xbox Game Pass leaker eXstas1s, who shared details in a recent video. According to the leak, this emulation initiative will coincide with Xbox’s 25th anniversary and will roll out in multiple waves throughout 2026. The first wave of supported titles is said to include Fable 2, Skate 3, Gears of War 3, and Batman: Arkham Asylum, with many more under evaluation based on technical feasibility and licensing availability.

While this remains unconfirmed by Microsoft, the concept aligns with the company’s ongoing focus on backward compatibility and preserving classic titles. If true, this program could mark the first time some fan-favorite titles like Fable 2 and the original Ninja Gaiden games become natively available on PC.
