‘A Bummer We Weren’t Invited,’ Says Alien Ant Farm After Being Cut From Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 Soundtrack — ‘I Feel Like Our Song Was Really Good’

American rock band Alien Ant Farm recently expressed their disappointment over being left out of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 remake soundtrack, calling it a “bummer.” Their track Wish was originally featured in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4, but it didn’t make the cut for the remastered collection.

While the new playlist brings back some iconic tracks from the original Pro Skater 3 and 4—like Motörhead’s Ace of Spades—many others were replaced with fresh additions. When asked by BBC News (via VGC) about a sad face emoji their social media account posted in response to the soundtrack reveal, the band acknowledged the exclusion with a tinge of regret.

“Yeah, it’s definitely a bummer that we weren’t included,” said guitarist Terry Corso. “We get that they’re trying to bring in some new tracks for these remasters, and sometimes tough choices have to be made. Still, I don’t know why we were the ones cut—Wish felt like it really fit and connected well with fans.”

Lead singer Dryden Mitchell added, “I understand that skate culture leans more punk, and we’re not exactly a punk band—but that’s what makes a great soundtrack. The variety, the mix of different styles—that’s what made it special.”

Fan reactions to the Pro Skater 3+4 soundtrack reveal have been mixed. While some celebrated the return of artists like CKY and Iron Maiden, others expressed disappointment over the absence of bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Zebrahead.

Responding on Instagram, Tony Hawk took personal responsibility for the soundtrack decisions in the Pro Skater 3+4 remake, explaining that he intentionally aimed to blend nostalgia with discovery by introducing new tracks alongside returning favorites.

“It was my decision to include some different songs from the same artists featured in the original THPS3+4 soundtracks,” Hawk said. “I believe discovery is part of the fun—and one of the reasons these soundtracks made such a lasting impact. So tune in and enjoy the ride.”

In a similar spirit, while the game brings back many classic skaters and iconic parks, it also introduces new maps and characters—including, for some unexpected fun, Michelangelo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 launches July 11 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
