Get a Used: PlayStation Portal for Under $150

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The PlayStation Portal has yet to see a price drop on brand-new units—even during the recent PlayStation Days of Play sale. But if you’re open to a lightly used model, there’s finally a deal worth jumping on. Right now, Amazon Resale has the Used – Like New PS Portal for $148.81 with free shipping. That’s a 26% discount from its regular $200 price tag. A Sony warranty might not be included, but Amazon still offers a 30-day return window for most resale items.

Pro tip: The page will default to showing the $199 new model. Click here and scroll down to the “Used – Like New” section to grab the deal.

The PlayStation Portal is Sony’s handheld streaming device for the PS5, designed to look like a DualSense controller wrapped around an 8-inch 1080p LCD display. It mirrors key features from the DualSense, including haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and a touch interface, and it can stream your games at up to 60fps from your PS5 console.

Originally, the Portal required a PS5 to function. But thanks to an April update, it can now stream games directly from Sony’s PlayStation Now cloud servers—no PS5 required. As long as you’re subscribed to the PlayStation Plus Premium tier ($17.99/month), you’ll have access to a library of over 120 titles including Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Resident Evil 3 Remake, and The Last of Us Part I Remastered.

Whether you’re streaming from your own console or Sony’s servers, the Portal requires a strong and stable internet connection to deliver a smooth experience.

Of course, you can replicate the PS Portal’s core functionality using Sony’s Remote Play app on your smartphone or handhelds like the Steam Deck. But those setups are trickier to configure and don’t fully support the advanced features of the DualSense.
